Health promotion in universities
Physical activity has an immediate positive effect on mental performance, thinking and concentration, as well as on mental and physical health. Physical activity, whether in a group or on one’s own, should therefore be an integral part of daily life.
In addition to the regular university sports programme, Hochschulsport Hamburg has for many years been organising special exercise programmes for Hamburg’s universities as part of student and workplace health promotion. The aim is to strengthen the health literacy of students and staff, improve their well-being and provide a valuable balance to the often hectic daily routine of study and work.
