Resolutely against DISCRIMINATION
In accordance with the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), Universität Hamburg understands sexualised discrimination as direct or indirect discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual identity. This also includes sexualised harassment and violence, i.e. unwanted sexual or gender-related behaviour that manifests itself in verbal, non-verbal or physical form and has the purpose or effect of violating the dignity of the person concerned or creating an environment characterised by intimidation, hostility, humiliation, degradation or insults. It is not the intention or premeditation of the behaviour that is decisive, but the transgressive effect on those affected, e.g. through one-sided, inappropriate or pressurising behaviour. It is not decisive whether the person concerned has made their rejection clear.
University Sports Hamburg is resolutely opposed to any form of (sexualised) discrimination, harassment and violence in our activities and in interactions outside of university sports.
We would like to educate, show measures for prevention and procedures for intervention, and protect those affected.
Please always contact us if you notice anything or feel uncomfortable - we want you to feel safe with us!
