BEAT! Healthy throughout your studies
A warm welcome to you!
It's great that you're here! Your studies are an exciting and often challenging time, characterized by change and personal growth. It is an opportunity not only to learn professionally, but also to make new friends and have unforgettable social experiences. In the midst of the learning phases, fun, breaks and exercise should not be neglected. Social interaction and various leisure activities are essential components of a fulfilling course of study. Your well-being and health are just as important as your seminars and lectures. We are here to support you in this adventure! Let's work together to ensure that you have a balanced and enriching time at university, with room for both academic success and personal enjoyment.

But what is BEAT! actually about?
In a nutshell: It's about you as a student, about the framework conditions and structures of your everyday life as a student at UHH - and about YOUR active participation.
BEAT! has set itself the task of making your studies at Uni Hamburg an all-round positive experience! It is important to us to consider all aspects of your student life, which is why we take a bio-psycho-social approach to student health management (SGM). This approach focuses on your health on various levels. We want to support you in shaping your life actively and flexibly.
We are committed to creating structures and framework conditions that enable you to integrate health and well-being into your everyday life as a student. We show you how to deal constructively with stress and other psychosocial challenges and promote your resilience.
Our aim is to develop and strengthen your health skills in the long term so that you benefit from them not only during your studies, but also in your later professional life.
We encourage you as a student to actively participate in student health management at UHH, to contribute your ideas and to further develop BEAT! together. We would also like to network all the players at the university who already offer health promotion for students and attract new people to this important topic.
